Steven P. Lisser, MD
Dr. Lisser, a specialist in sports medicine and surgery
of the hand, shoulder and elbow. He is Chairman of the
Department of Orthopaedics at Riverview Medical Center
and held an attending staff teaching position at Mount
Sinai School of Medicine.
His undergraduate
degree was earned at Cornell University. After completion
of his orthopaedic training at the Mount Sinai School of
Medicine, Dr. Lisser then undertook additional specialty
training in Upper Extremity Surgery and Sports Medicine.
This included a Hand and Microsurgery Fellowship at Thomas
Jefferson University, followed by a Fellowship in Shoulder
Surgery and Sports Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. |

During his training his research presentations were distinguished
with First prizes from the New York Academy of Medicine and the Philadelphia
Hand Society.
Throughout his
training and career, Dr. Lisser has maintained an active interest
in clinical and basic science research of the hand, shoulder and
elbow. He presented his work at National Meetings of the American
Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery and American Society for Surgery
of the Hand. In addition, he has authored chapters in several orthopaedic
and hand surgery textbooks. Dr. Lisser is currently a consultant
for a nationally recognized sports technology company.
Dr. Lisser is
Board Certified in Orthopaedic Surgery and Hand Surgery. He is
a member of various medical societies including the American Academy
of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Society for Surgery of
the Hand.
