Dr. Shupper received his B.S. in Nutritional Biochemistry from Rutgers University, where he received the Dean’s Award for Excellence in Leadership. He then went on to New York Medical College for his medical education. After graduating, he completed an Internal Medicine internship at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Montefiore New Rochelle Hospital. Subsequently, Dr. Shupper completed his Residency in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School/Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation.

While at Rutgers, Dr. Shupper was nominated for resident teaching awards, published numerous scholarly journal articles, and presented his research at several national society meetings. After graduating from his residency, he completed an Interventional Pain Medicine Fellowship at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School in the Anesthesiology Department. While in his Fellowship, Dr. Shupper developed his skillset in minimally invasive spinal procedures, including radiofrequency ablation and neuromodulation. He was also inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society (AΩA). Dr. Shupper is currently an editorial board member for the Pain Physician Journal.

Dr. Shupper helps his patients return to and optimally perform their chosen activities while promoting a healthy and active lifestyle. His goals for his patients are to maximize function while minimizing pain. Dr. Shupper treats patients with spine (neck, midback, low back, and buttock) pain as well as musculoskeletal issues (shoulder, elbow, wrist, hip, knee, ankle/foot). Dr. Shupper utilizes both conservative and minimally invasive interventions, including ultrasound, fluoroscopically guided procedures, and neuromodulation.

Dr. Simone received his Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Monmouth University in West Long Branch, NJ and his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Harden-Simmons University (HSU) in Abilene, TX. He then achieved his Master of Science in Nursing from Samford University in Homewood, AL. Dr. Simone completed his Doctorate from New York Chiropractic College in Seneca Falls NY.

Dr. Simone’s broad clinical experience and training range from primary care to geriatrics, orthopaedics, pediatrics, OB/GYN as well as Chiropractic care. He attained surgical experience and has been a part of many different OR procedures. He has retired from practicing Chiropractic medicine and decided to continue his career path in the direction of Orthopaedic and Interventional Pain Management Care at OrthoCenter.

Dr. Simone is a NIFA certified RN First Surgical Assist (RNFA). He is Board-Certified in Interventional Pain Management Procedures by the American Academy of Procedural Medicine (AAOPM). Dr. Simone continues to further his education in order to provide his patients with the latest state-of-the-art treatments that are available today.

Dr. Simone has numerous AAOPM board certifications, including spinal injections, inter-articular joint injections, arthrocentesis, Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) injections, and bursa injections.

Dr. Simone’s professional affiliations include the American Nurses Association (ANA), New Jersey State Nurses Association (NJSNA), Forum of Nurses in Advanced Practice (FNAP), American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), American Academy of Procedural Medicine (AAOPM), Association of New Jersey Chiropractors (ANJC) and the New Jersey State PBA Physicians Association.

Dr. Romello received his Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from Ursinus College in Collegeville, Pennsylvania. While there, he was a 4-year starter and 2-year captain of the Ursinus baseball team and graduated Magna Cum laude. After completing his undergraduate studies, Dr. Romello went on to earn his medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ/Rutgers) in Newark. Dr. Romello did his internship in Internal Medicine at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, followed by his Residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at UMDNJ/Kessler institute for Rehabilitation.

Dr. Romello then went on to complete Fellowship training in Interventional Pain Management from Lags Spine and Sports Care in Santa Maria, California. While there, he received additional training in non-operative care of spine, musculoskeletal conditions, and sports related injuries. In addition to spinal procedures, Dr. Romello also gained further experience in electrodiagnostic testing (EMG) as well as musculoskeletal ultrasound guided procedures.

As a part of the Orthocenter team, Dr. Romello focuses on neck and back pain management. He provides comprehensive non operative care for his patients including spinal procedures under fluoroscopic guidance such as epidural steroid injections, nerve blocks, radiofrequency ablation (RFA) and joint injections. He performs dorsal column spinal cord stimulator trials and works closely with the orthopedic spine team for permanent placement of spinal cord stimulators.

Dr. Romello is an active member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, (AAPM&R), the North American Spine Society (NASS), Spine Intervention Society (SIS) and the New Jersey Society of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He strives to provide quality care to maximize each person’s function and improve their quality of life.

Dr. Navasartian earned a Bachelor of Science degree in general biology and a Master of Science degree in biology from the University of California, San Diego. Dr. Navasartian then completed medical school at the State University of New York in Stony Brook. Following medical school, he completed a residency in orthopaedic surgery at Monmouth Medical Center in New Jersey, one of the oldest residency programs in the state. Through his residency, he spent time training at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, as well as UMDNJ Newark. This allowed him to obtain well-rounded training in numerous aspects of orthopaedic surgery.

Dr. Navasartian then went on to complete subspecialty fellowship training in Sports Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine. During his fellowship, he was trained by one of the pioneers and founders of modern shoulder arthroscopy, Dr. Stephen Burkhart, MD. Dr. Burkhart invented many of the tools and techniques used in shoulder arthroscopy, and Dr. Navasartian is proud to have had him as a mentor. Because of his training with Dr. Burkhart, Dr. Navasartian is very well-versed in treating some of the most complex shoulder problems using arthroscopic techniques.

Additionally, Dr. Navasartian is trained in complex knee surgery, including arthroscopic and open techniques. Dr. Navasartian is also a published author, with some of his published literature describing techniques in shoulder and knee arthroscopy. In addition to sports medicine, his interests in orthopaedic surgery also include fracture care and joint replacement surgery.

Dr. Husain received his undergraduate degree in Neurobiology from Cornell University and went to the Renaissance School of Medicine at Stony Brook University for his medical education. There he graduated with an M.D. degree with Recognition in Research and stayed on-board to complete his Surgical Internship as well as his Residency in Orthopaedic Surgery. As a junior resident he received the “Outstanding Resident” of the year award and was appointed as the Chief Administrative Resident in his final year.

Following residency, Dr. Husain was accepted to the NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases to complete his Fellowship training in Spine Surgery. There he was trained in the surgical and non-operative management of the full spectrum of spinal conditions by several of the pioneers in the field. Throughout his career, Dr. Husain has been actively involved in research and academics. Dr. Husain has multiple publications on a variety of topics related to spine surgery in peer-reviewed journals as well as textbooks.

Dr. Husain is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and an active member of the North American Spine Society.

Born and raised in the Middletown NJ area and former Eagle Scout, Dr. Borzio received his Medical Degree from New Jersey Medical School Rutgers, where he graduated with the distinction of acceptance into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. Following graduation, Dr. Borzio completed his Orthopaedic Surgery Residency at the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. He went on to specialize in hip and knee replacements by completing his Fellowship in Adult Reconstructive Surgery at New York University and Insall Scott Kelly® Institute for Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine.

Dr. Borzio is dedicated to improving the field of orthopaedic surgery, serving as a member of the American Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons, and publishing in several well-regarded journals, such as the Journal of Orthopaedic Research and International Orthopaedics. Dr. Borzio is eager to identify his patients’ orthopaedic issues and develop a unique treatment plan precisely for their situation.

Dr. Bloomstein completed his Orthopedic Residency at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, New Jersey, where his training included Pediatric Orthopedics at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and Orthopedic Trauma at Morristown Medical Center.

Following residency, he completed a Fellowship in Orthopedic Trauma Surgery at the University of Tennessee Campbell Clinic in Memphis. During that time, he participated in a medical relief mission to Haiti after the 2010 earthquake, performing more than fifty surgeries in a five-day period to help restore function and mobility to injured patients.

He then completed a second Fellowship in Foot and Ankle Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, where he trained with pioneers in total ankle replacement and other joint-preserving techniques.

Drawing on his trauma and reconstructive background, Dr. Bloomstein specializes in joint replacement surgery of the hip, knee, shoulder, elbow, and ankle. His practice includes advanced joint reconstruction for patients with arthritis, fractures, and post-traumatic deformities, offering both primary and revision joint replacements.

In addition to joint replacement, Dr. Bloomstein provides expert care for foot and ankle conditions—including bunions, hammertoes, flatfoot, arthritis, ankle sprains, and Achilles tendon disorders—using both surgical and non-surgical treatments tailored to each patient’s needs.

Dr. Bauernfeind specializes in conservative, non-surgical, minimally invasive interventions and comprehensive treatments of the spine, nerves, muscles and joints. He treats the whole person, developing individualized treatment plans with the goal to improve function and quality of life and to provide long-term pain relief through an evidence-based, multi-specialty approach including rehabilitation, medication optimization, ultrasound and image-guided interventions, and advanced procedures.

He has extensive training and experience with a number of minimally invasive procedures, including fluoroscopic-guided spine and joint injections, ultrasound-guided musculoskeletal evaluation and treatments, neuromodulation, nerve blocks, radiofrequency ablation, and regenerative medicine such as Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP).

Born and raised locally in Monmouth County, Dr. Bauernfeind graduated at the top of his class from the Academy of Allied Health and Science. He received a B. S. in Biology from The College of New Jersey and earned his medical degree from Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. He completed his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Rochester in New York, where he served as Chief Resident. He completed a prestigious North American Spine Society (NASS) recognized fellowship in interventional spine and musculoskeletal medicine at OSS Health in York, Pennsylvania, widely regarded as one of the top fellowship programs in his field. During fellowship, he worked with leaders in interventional spine and musculoskeletal ultrasound and also volunteered as a team physician for high school football teams. 

Dr. Bauernfeind has participated in numerous research projects, publications, and professional lectures. He is a member of the Spine Intervention Society, the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and Phi Beta Kappa.

In his spare time, Dr. Bauernfeind enjoys travel, cooking, going to the beach, fishing, hiking, kayaking, running, recreational sports, and spending time with his wife, Dr. Era Murzaku, a Dermatologist at Little Silver Dermatology, and his two kids.
