About Dr. Elad

Elad Tennen, MD, a board-certified Primary Care Sports Physician, provides expert care to patients at Orthocenter, which has three locations in Red Bank, Morganville, and Holmdel, New Jersey.  Dr. Tennen specializes in non-operative Sports Medicine with experience treating musculoskeletal injuries and systemic athletic conditions- from your weekend warrior to the professional athlete. 

Dr. Tennen received his Bachelor of Science degree in biology with minors in mathematics and chemistry from Ramapo College of New Jersey graduating with honors. He then went on to Ross University School of Medicine for his medical education. After graduating, he completed an internal medicine internship at Elmhurst Hospital in affiliation with Mount Sinai Hospital. Subsequently he completed his residency in Family Medicine from Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset. Dr. Tennen then went on to complete an ACGME accredited fellowship at Atlantic Sports Health in Morristown, New Jersey. His training involved providing sideline medical coverage for the New York Jets (NFL), D1 college athletics at Seton Hall University, private hockey league Skyland Kings, as well as participation in mass athletic events including the rock-n-roll half marathon in San Jose California.

Dr. Tennen practices non-surgical techniques, using conservative measures to allow patients for proper rehabilitation from injury. His primary care background allows for treatment for non-orthopedic/medical injuries in athletes ranging from concussion management/return to play, athletic fatigue, overtraining, exercise-induced asthma, as well as management of athletes with chronic medical conditions. Dr. Tennen believes in using the patient-centered approach in providing care and building a bond with his patients. 

Dr. Tennen, a New Jersey native who grew up in Marlboro, New Jersey, enjoys spending time with his family, watching football and following the fitness industry. He plays an active role in our local community as the school physician to some of our local districts.
