Nader A. Bakhos, MD, a board-certified orthopedic surgeon, provides dedicated care at Orthocenter, which has three locations in Red Bank, Morganville, and Marlboro Township, New Jersey. Dr. Bakhos grew up in Monmouth County and left New Jersey to pursue his undergraduate degree at The Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore. He returned home to get his medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Newark, where he graduated as a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He completed his orthopedic residency at Tufts Medical Center in Boston. He then furthered his sub-specialty training by completing the Otto E. Aufranc Fellowship in adult reconstructive surgery at New England Baptist Hospital in Boston, one of the top orthopedic and joint replacement centers in the country.  There he received extensive training in complex and revision hip and knee replacements.

Dr. Bakhos also dedicates time to expanding his field with research, particularly on topics such as soft tissue preserving total hip arthroplasty; the reduction of blood transfusions after joint replacement; and the minimization of risks of total hip dislocation. Dr. Bakhos’ work has been presented at a number of national meetings.

While a dedicated surgeon, Dr. Bakhos is forever a student and always looking to add to his surgical skills and techniques.  He regularly attends meetings where he looks to integrate the latest developments into his practice and bring them to his patients.
