Steven P. Lisser, MD, a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon at Orthocenter, with three locations in Red Bank, Morganville, and Marlboro Township, New Jersey, specializes in hand, shoulder, and elbow surgery, as well as sports medicine. He’s passionate about his field, with special interests that include rotator cuff disease, ligament reconstruction, reconstructive microsurgery, arthroscopy, endoscopic carpal tunnel release, and shoulder cuff disease.
Dr. Lisser earned his medical degree and orthopaedic training from Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City. Then, as a hand and microsurgery fellow at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, he trained in sports medicine and upper extremity surgery. Finally, he finished up at the University of Pennsylvania as a shoulder surgery and sports medicine fellow.
Dr. Lisser is certified in both hand surgery and orthopaedic surgery by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. Dr. Lisser serves as the chairman of the Riverview Medical Center Department of Orthopaedics. He is also a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Society for Surgery of the Hand.
When he’s not in the office, Dr. Lisser works as a consultant for a nationally recognized sports technology company.
